Lower- and middle-level administration employees, people responsible for running in-house archives, registries, secretariats, repositories etc. can take part in our archival courses (on two levels) to gain full professional qualifications for the job of a professional archivist or registry clerk.
We also organise several hours long archival seminars for managers of all kinds of companies and institutions as well as ad hoc trainings on implementing specific archival regulations.
The trainings are organised by the SAP National Archival Education Centre (Centre) in 25 training facilities throughout Poland (the largest training centre in Poland as regards archival courses).
- I level course consists of 34 hours of classes
- II level course consists of 38 hours of classes
The courses are run from September to December and from February to June. They are completed by about 1500 people each year.
I level archival courses
The I level course curriculum covers the following topics:
- Legislation concerning records management (3 h),
- Confidential documentation (1 h),
- Kinds and forms of modern documents (2 h),
- Archival categorisation and retention periods of the most important B category records (4 h),
- Organising office work, including practical exercises in using a file index (6 h),
- Organisation and scope of activity of an in-house archive, including a visit to an exemplary in-house archive (5 h),
- Archiving documents, including nonrecords (6 h),
- Disposition of non-archival documents (3 h),
- Dealing with the records of organisational units to be closed down (2 h),
- IT systems for records management at in-house archives (2 h).
II level archival courses
The II level course curriculum focuses on the following topics:
- Organising and running a registry (5 h),
- Separating groups of records; various types of groups of records (4 h),
- Determining the group of a given record (6 h),
- Archiving archival records, drafting a note of transfer to state archives (13 h),
- Archiving non-archival records (3 h),
- Archiving other types of records (4 h),
- Archival holdings registration systems (3 h).
